The 4th of July

Before the day of July 4 came, I already had been looking forward to its coming, because I always enjoy the atmosphere when people are engaging in celebrating the festivals, no matter it was back in China or here right now. Finally that day came, although no too much entertainment in this small town even on that kind of festival, I still felt very excited. As all the other people in everywhere of America, we were expecting the fireworks at night. We chose a very good spot at the park to watch the fireworks, and after around 3 hours' long waiting, we finally saw it, and it was worth of the waiting, because it was so beautiful and shinning like blooming flowers in the quiet sky of summer night.

Amish people

The first time I saw Amish people was at Wal-Mart, I noticed them at the first sight, because they dressed very different from us. From my husband I got to know some more about them, and I don't know why I'm very interested in them. I heard that they live with no electricity, phone, or cars. And their women only wear simple style dress, and so as their men, even at their wedding, and no wedding rings, no jewelry. They have their kids educated in their own school. I think my husband is right that their lifestyles are more like a special religion. They just live with simple farm life. I just can't believe there are really these kinds of people who'd rather give up all the entertainment and conveience brought by the modern advanced technology.

With the curiosity we tried to find them last Friday, and we did find their community, which is a little far from the town. They are nice people, whoever saw us waved to us, including some young ladies and boys we saw on the road. :)) On the way back home we went to to visit a small furniture market and bakery, all the furnitures were made by hands, all are very nice.

I didn't take too many pictures close, because I was afraid that would offend them, wouldn't be polite, anyway I only took few pictures of their farm and their carriage a little far in front of our car as below.

The Fountain

Last night we watched another movie The Fountain. To be honest, i didnt enjoy it so much, because i couldnt understand it so well. Not because of English, but because i think its director didnt organize it so well, it didnt have a clear clue to follow with, changed time and place from time to time, but not so easy to catch it. And by its last moment, i still cant understand whats going on, hehe, but my husband didnt think so, he thinks it's a good one.

But what i get from it is that...it's always not easy to accept the fact of losing someone you love so much, no matter what it is to take them away from us.

I Am Legend

What would you do or think if there was only you survive in this world? I think that must be a desperate situition to handle with, you must overcome the dread of being killed by the vampires every single day and the loneliess. And that's the situition what Dr. Robert Neville is in this movie.

I almost watched its every scene, except some of the more horrible ones, but still there is something i cant understand about it, like how the lady Anna and her kid Ethan went to New York City, and how it is going on after Robert sacrificed his own life. But still it is a good movie to catch your attention and hold you to the seat. My husband enjoyed it more than I at least.

And I got to know a singer Bob Marley, my husband told me he is a good singer, he tries to let people not to hate each other by his music. Dr. Robert Neville talked about him in this movie.

Again I feel the virologist or biologist are a kind of..dangerous people, because they can create miracle of life as well as destroy it.

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep

Yesterday we watched movie The Water Horse, it's a good one for family to watch together.

It's a story about a little boy Angus and a water horse. Angus found a rather big egg covered by many small rocks and sand and took it home..and it turns out to be a water horse's egg, and he kept and feeded this little strange thing until one day it turns to be too big to keep for him. What is impressed most for me is the pure friendship between little boy and huge water horse Crusoe, maybe that happens between any kids and their pets, only this one is a very speical one, and in the end became a huge one, but i think most people will be moved when they see the gentle and friendly feeling from Crusoe's eyes while Angus was hugging and nuzzling his head.

And another funny thing is the battle between Crusoe and that fierce bulldog.

The town in my eyes

Baobei's town is a small quiet town, very different from Hangzhou where i have lived for 8 years, any other city or my hometown in China.

It is very quiet in my eyes. No so many people walking on the streets, no so many shopping streets either. People are all busy doing their own business, seem to be friend but also keep certain distance for each other. This kind of quiet let me feel i am so tiny and lonely to this world, so, i really can't say i am enjoying it, that's why i have told baobei several times i dont like this small town so far. :)

It is a beautiful town. I like trees, especially for old trees. There are many trees in this town. It is autumn now, so, the color of the autumn all turn to warm red, or golden..i like it very much. The trees and lake in Ruthwell Park are very peaceful and beautiful.

People here seem all to be polite and friendly, they will smile to the strangers..they will always let the walking people pass the streets first, this is better than us Chinese people, but mainly thats because my country has huge population problem.

Baobei had to go to work again today, so, the 2nd day to be alone again. I can't back to sleep although it is only 4am, so, same as yesterday, i came to the computer. I read some blogs of the people i got to know from the forum, they all are same as me, came from China, came here for marriage. They all seem to live happily and have fun with their husbands and kids..some are studing in college and at the same time working, have got themselves to be used to the total new circumastance. While feeling happy for them, i encourage myself for the new life before myself. Baskets of thoughts came to mind from time to time all this week. Mainly are about my future family with baobei.

And naturally, it is not all about happiness, also involved some worries..after all, we are from different culture background, and we haven't been living with each other for a long time before...and it is a total new circumastance for me, no work, no friend, no family here, he is the only i have here. Bu...t we love and trust each other so far. It should be enough for me to make decision, am i right? I already flied here with the best wishes from my family and good friends. I didnt realize how big this decision is when we delivered the application for my visa. And i believe it is a big one for baobei also.

Pray for our future family with full of my heart!

I overheard that we would only have one day free for the 7days legal holiday for National Day while Jacky was talking to our boss on the phone, it's so bad, we never had that long holiday before though, still feel bad for being forced to go to work while all the other people are on holiday.

Autumn has really come here, very comfortable temperature, easy to have a good sleep and can't get up on time. Always i felt i wanted to have some time more to sleep when i had to get up every morning.

Feipo should be taking the interview this morning, pray that she didn't get what she wants. I don't know why i hate her so much.

Yesterday with Maggie and Chen, we went to Jade Emperor Hill, it's not so high, only around 250 meters, still felt tired when back, after all we seldom have any exercise, but it's really good to breathe the autumn in the nature.

Below is the inhibitant of the mountain, we found them, they are really diligent creature, i guess we threw a party for them yesterday.

It has been raining since two days ago, some nature things just are so strange, sometimes they have the power to affect people's moods and thinking. If i could, i really would catch a spaceship to another side of the world in one second.

La..zy bear, stop daydreaming!!..not to forget to get all the samples for the fair ready tomorrow,...and go to school tomorrow night...your schedule is full, see, you cant have spare time to even catch that one second spaceship..

It's my country's 56th birthday Oct 1, hope peace will always surround it, and hope it will get stronger and stronger, and our people are always united for this aim.

Bringing home plenty of food in advance, i have planed to live like a lazy bear these days, it turns out that i want to be a lazy bear for ever, it's so lucky to be a bear, at least much more lucky than human being.:)

If you could choose for next life, what would you like yourself to be? If still be human being, then, be a man or a woman?

I like the quiet and peaceful autumn night.

Autumn is a season of harvest

Shen talked to me on MSN, we have got to know each other since 2001, he knows all the situition about my work well. I didnt complain anything before him, though what he said could easily let me speak out what i had in heart.

I happened to see Wilson talking to Lu at the gate, Lu's attitude to him was so rude, i really felt sad for Wilson, as a manager of a department, same as Lu, why couldnt he be confident enough to let others respect him. A good relationship shouldnt be got by losing himself.

It's really difficult to imagine, 6 years has passed by since my graduation, these days i always couldnt help thinking back the 6 years' work and life, what i have got and What i have failed, what i'm waiting for, what i'm trying to get..time is very fair, same 24hours a day for everybody.

The company is planing to make special formal suits for us for the coming two exhibitions in next month. I will have to wear middle high heeled shoes, i prefer to flattie, but as a woman, i think to wear high heeled shoes from time to time sounds good too, the sound from the heel sometimes can remind you of raising your feet and being mettlesome, anyway after all this sound can only come from a woman:).

It's our Mid-Autumn Festival today, we will see the biggest moon in our sky in one year tonight. Most of people are planing to have a moonbath tonight, i believe.

Comparing to the moon, the sun, the stars...the universe, we, the human being, are so tiny to be noticed by the most advanced telescope even. Maybe all the people are all some kind of shooting star to live in the universe for a short time not longer than 150years, comparing to the whole universe, maybe its only some seconds.
